Happy Poineer Day!

In honor of Pioneer Day here is a link with info on Lydia Knight. The part I find most interesting is that it has her patriarchal blessing. I hope everyone enjoys.

Just somthing that Janni had on her blog

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

This Weekend

Roberts nephew Chad come home from his mission a couple of weeks ago and his homecoming was on Sunday. We hadn't planed on going because we didn't have time for the whole family to be gone. Well his mom really wanted to go so on Thursday Robert decided to go. He drove out with his mom and the boys and left me all alone on Friday. Arrie got home Saturday morning and was bummed that she didn't get to go. Her attitude changed when she realized that with dad gone we had an extra ticket for the American Idol concert Monday night. So last night I got to go to the concert with three silly girls. It was a really good concert and worth every penny to watch Arrie go crazy at her first concert. When David A. came out it was so loud that you couldn't even hear. The crowd was almost as loud for David C. All the performers did really good.

Last Week

Life has been a little busy so let me catch up on what's been going on. Last Monday Kory got to go to baseball camp at BYU. It was the first year we let him sleep over. He roomed with his friend Devin. On his team this year he had Devin and two other boys from his Rivercats team, so they named there team the Rivercats. They went 7-0 and played in the championship game. Sadly they lost the championship game. He had a really good time.

Last week on Tuesday Arrie got to go to Young Woman's camp at Shalom. She had way to much fun of course and didn't sleep hardly at all. She has a small group of girls that call themselves the "neon chicks". Of course being Arrie she hung out with any one who would be silly and goofy with her and made friends with some girls that she didn't know very well. I love camp and wish I could have been there too, maybe some day I'll be blessed to be there with my girl but for now it's her turn to be there.

So three minus two means I had an only child for most of last week. Aaron and I went and saw a movie together on Tuesday and then he wanted to sleep over at Grandma Hernandez house on Wednesday so Robert and I had an empty house. We went on a date with some friends of ours. It was very strange not to worry about any kids.

4th of July

It's been a great weekend. We had a great day on the 4th. We went to the parade on Friday morning. It' s always a good time to sit with family and friends and see the different floats and people in the parade. Then we went as saw Wall-e in the after noon. We meet up with everyone again to have a BBQ that night and watch the fireworks. It was a good day celebrating the freedoms of our great country.

Good Job Kory!

Kory played in the championship game for city baseball on Tuesday. It was a really close game but they ended up losing by 1 run. His team ended up taking 2ND place. Good job Kory.
