Spring Training

We are back from Arizona. What a fun weekend. On Wednesday we had Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. Dinner for a hundred and just making sure everything ran well. As soon as we were done we jumped in the car and headed for warmer weather. We stopped in Mesquite to sleep for a few hours but were on the road again by 4 am. We had to deliver some diploma covers for a school district to start our trip. We got to our first school about 10:30 am. We were done with all 5 schools by 1 pm. We found the nearest UHAL and dropped off the trailer. We finally ate lunch about 2 on our way to the hotel. We checked in about 3 and it was time to finally play. We missed the baseball game on Thursday it started at 1 but the kids had fun swimming at the pool. I was a nice hotel only 3 months old.

On Friday we all headed to the Giants vs A's game. The weather was so nice. We sat on the grass and enjoyed the game. The Giants won.

After the game we called Henry and Ellen's girls who got to have a girls weekend with Andy. We were so excited to see Andy and she looked good. We went out to dinner and had a short visit and then left them to there "sister time". After dinner we stopped by a game that a friend of ours had a son playing in. It was an 8 year old team and they were so cute. We stayed and watched about half the game and then headed back to the hotel to swim with the friend we went to Phoenix with.

Saturday the people who were going to watch baseball got a small surprise. When they went to find out where the stadium was that they had to go to they realized that the game they bought tickets to was in Tuscan, 2 hours away. So they quickly took off so they could make it to the game on time. Luckily they had a good time. The rest of us went to a friends hotel to swim. Well not a hotel but a 5 star resort really. It made our hotel look ghetto. There were 4 pools and a lazy river, even a small water slide. It was beautiful. We had a nice relaxing day around the pool.

Sadly we had to head home on Sunday. None of us were ready to go. We needed one more day at least. Well we will be back next year.
