Aaron's Birthday Party

We had a fun little party last night for Aaron.
(luckily his birthday was the only day this week we didn't have baseball games)
We took the kids to Nickelcade, feed them pizza and cake. I think all the boys had a good time. It was easy for me. All the kids entertained themselves, I guess video games are great distractions. As you can see in the above picture, Aaron had a good time.

Look who has turned 9

My sweet baby boy is celebrating his ninth birthday today. He is so wonderful to have around. When he's not bugging his brother and sister he is truly the most thoughtful and loving child. As anyone who knows him will tell you he give the best hugs. We are so blessed to have him in our family.

Happy Birthday Aaron!

Happy Mothers Day

To all those woman out there, whether or not your are currently a mom, I want to wish you a Happy Mothers day! This is a weird day for me. My mom never really cared for mothers day when I was growing up. She often made comments about it needing to be more of a celebration of woman. I've had years as a mom that this day was not really what people would think mothers day should be. There have been years that I was so grumpy and didn't know why. It has gotten better for me. I do think that I have to echo my moms opinion of this day. Whether or not you have children most woman in the world have a profound effect on a child somehow. I would like to celebrate today the beauty of woman. The strength that we all have inside us to change lives. We rock! I have to thank my own mom for giving me so much strength. She didn't have an ideal childhood and wasn't shown by her mother how to be an amazing woman but she beat the odds and became one. She is beauty to me. She is strength to me. She is love to me. She has been a huge part of why I am now me and I thank her for that.

I love you mom, Happy Mothers Day!

Hope of America

When I got home yesterday I found out that Robert was teaching Kory to mow the lawn. My little boy is growing up and becoming a lot of help around the house.

Kory also got to participate yesterday in the Hope of America program. It is a neat experience. Kids from three school districts preform. It is very patriot. He has been working hard at school to be prepared for the performance and he was looking forward to sharing it with us. There were a lot of cool performances.
Kory was all the way at the top of the crowd. To give you an idea of how many kids where there they filled up one side of the Marriott center.
Here are all the kids. With the different colors of shirts they looked like a living flag.

This was the last performance and it is very cool to watch.

Football fun

We have a friend who ended up with a bunch of tickets to the Utah Valley Thunder arena football game last night. We went with them to the game. The boys decided that because we had so many extra tickets that they would sell them and see how much money they could make. We didn't think that they would sell any I mean after all I didn't even know that there was a Utah Valley Thunder arena football team. We got there about 30 min. before the game started and let them hang out outside while we saved us some seats. They didn't sell all the tickets but they each made about $7. So thanks for the free night out, the kids didn't even bug me for money to get treats.
Here are all the kids with the Utah Valley mascot.

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball

Kory and Aaron started there city league baseball games this week.
They both won there games.
Aaron had fun on his first live pitch baseball game. After all the years of going and watching Kory's practices and game he finally got to put what he has learned into action.

Wicked Weekend

Yes, after years of waiting we finally took Arrie to see the play "Wicked". We took her a couple of years ago when she fell in love with the music that we would take her. It is playing here is UT this month and we were able to get tickets. It was worth the wait! The girl who played Elphaba was so good. Her voice was amazing. The costume were awesome and it has some great music. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
(I forgot my camera so I don't have any pitures)

A sure sign that spring is here is baseball at our house. Kory's super league team had there first season games today. The boys played really well. They won the first game 18-1 and the second game 6-5. The weather was a little spring like and it would be hot when the sun was out and then chilly when the sun went behind the clouds and cold when the wind started blowing. It was worth the indecisive weather. Now my life has been over taken by baseball so all of you will probably hear a lot about it.
