Sister Weekend

I was blessed to be born into a big family. I have six sisters and three brothers. Some how we all get a long and are even good friends. Once a year the sisters, sister-in-law and our mom run away together for a little sister time. This year we stayed in a condo in Park City. We played games, took walks and talked a lot. It's a weekend that we look forward to every year and it was another good one this year.

I love you sisters.

Transformers 2

Robert won tickets to the premiere of Transformers 2. We headed up to Salt Lake last night to watch the movie. It was a little intense because they had 4 security guards dressed in black suits making sure that no one recorded the movie. They said that if you checked your watch and it lit up or opened your cell phone they would kick you out of the movie.
The movie was pretty good. If you liked the first one you will like this one. There was no shortage of action. A few inappropriate jokes(it was defiantly made by guys). I have to say that it was entertaining. I do really like Shia LaBeouf. He has really come a long way since "Even Stephens".

I should pay attention.

Yesterday we had stake conference. We got up and got out of the house in plenty on time to get there. We headed for the Provo tabernacle where we have had conference for the last nine years, since we moved into our ward. We settled down into a bench and got ready to enjoy the meeting. Robert's brother was in town visiting us and dropping his daughter off to start at UVU. He leaned over and asked Robert witch of the men on the stand was our stake president. Robert looked up and the stand and said "He not up there, he must not be there yet." Well the stake president should be on the stand so we started looking around and realized that we didn't see anyone from our ward. We did however see some people from our old ward in our old stake. Then we realized that this was not our stake conference. After nine years it appears of stake conference being in the same place, at the same time someone decided to change things up a little. I guess I should pay more attention.

My Birthday Girl

Fourteen years ago I became a mom for the first time. Arrie came into the the world screaming at the top of her lungs and has never really quited down. She is a true joy. You can't help be around her and not get a smile on your face.

We took her out to dinner last night to celebrate. You can tell she is getting older because she didn't want present and didn't want a party she just wants the cold hard cash that we would have spent.

It's crazy to think that my little girl isn't so little anymore. She will be a freshman in high school in August.

Happy Birthday my little baby girl, I am so glad that you call me mommy. My life would be to quite without you.

Young Love

Kory has liked the same girl since he was in 1st grade. Her name is Shantel. She is a cute little girl. They went to school together until last year when her family moved to Lehi. The romance has not been interrupted even with the move. They both are shy so they don't talk much but they do email each other.
Kory invited her to watch his baseball games on Saturday. She came to the 5:30 game with her mom. It has been so cute to watch them continue to like each other over the years. Kory has gone to some of her dance recitals and now she wants to come and watch him play baseball.
Young love isn't it sweet?

How time flys

Life has been quite the adventure lately. I won't catch up on everything because it's the same old, same old, but I'll catch you up on our fun end of school weekend.
I let the boys have some friends over on the last night of school. They played games in the yard and then when the sun went down we started a fire and roasted marshmellows.

Then they hung out in the hot tub for a while. They had a good time.
Arrie had her 8th grade advancement ceremony on Thursday night. Then she got to go to a dance at her school for just the 8th graders. She had a great time hanging out with all of her friends. On Friday night she went to a swim party with all her friends. I so glad she has such a nice group of good friends.

I can hardly believe the school year is over. It seem like it few by so fast. The kids are growing up so fast. I now have a 4th grader, 6th grader and a freshman in high school. It feels a little crazy.

Aaron's Birthday Party

We had a fun little party last night for Aaron.
(luckily his birthday was the only day this week we didn't have baseball games)
We took the kids to Nickelcade, feed them pizza and cake. I think all the boys had a good time. It was easy for me. All the kids entertained themselves, I guess video games are great distractions. As you can see in the above picture, Aaron had a good time.
